Strength

I found this on the New York Times.
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/10/well/move/using-tai-chi-to-build-strength.html

It’s interesting because it talks about something that gets mentioned very little in a lot of discussion regarding tai chi chuan – strength.

Too many people have a misunderstanding of what the ‘softness’ in tai chi is; they just do ‘wet noodle’ movements and hope for the best. But there’s a whole art of body alignments that allow you to release your muscular tension (softness on the outside) and rely on your skeletal alignments/connective tissue instead (steel on the inside).
